The “Distinguished member” title is granted to a number of long-standing members who have contributed to the Association through participation in the technical work or within the National Committees. The award was introduced in 1996. The Technical Committee award, established by CIGRE in 1993, is awarded to members of Study Committees or Working Groups who have made a remarkable technical contribution.
